25 – 27 November 2021, Perth

The WA Airway Group (WAAG) was born in Perth, as a multi-disciplinary airway group focused on difficult airway management and training.

Our aim is to bring critical care and surgical specialists together, to learn from airway cases and share ideas in difficult airway management. Our annual scientific conference attracts delegates from all over Australia and New Zealand, and from diverse backgrounds such as Anaesthesia, Intensive Care, Emergency Medicine, Retrieval, ENT and Oral Maxillofacial surgery.

Our scientific program includes speakers from both critical care and surgical backgrounds, and case-based discussions of complex airway cases. We also offer optional practical workshops including the ‘Can’t Intubate, Can’t Oxygenate (CICO)’ scenario, Nasendoscopy skills, One Lung Ventilation, Videolaryngoscopy and Fibreoptic intubation tips, Radiology, Ultrasound and Emergency management of Anaphylaxis. Our academic content attracts ANZCA, CICM, ACEM and RACGP continuing professional development credits.

This year is WAAG’s 10th Anniversary Conference and we look forward to hosting the conference back in Western Australia where our story first began.

The WAAG Conference is a unique conference; focused on practical tips with airways, so delegates come away with greater confidence managing the issues around airway trauma and emergencies. It is always a relaxed setting, where networking with a range of multi-disciplinary colleagues gives WAAG it’s unique flavour. Don’t miss the WAAG fitness and social events too! We aim to cater for the holistic health of our delegates and their families.

Please register your interest to be one of the first to hear when early bird registration launches early 2021.

We look forward to welcoming you for the tenth anniversary of our airway conference.
