Invitation to Attend the WA Airway Group Conference in 2016

Wednesday 10 August, Thursday 11 August and Friday 12 August

Due to the popularity of a tropical backdrop, the WA Airway Group will be hosting the 2016 conference for the third year in Bali, this time, at the gorgeous five star Intercontinental Hotel in Jimbaran Bay.

The 2016 conference will expand on the multi-disciplinary theme that engaged delegates in 2015 and push the boundaries further with talks from the wider critical care community.

The WA Airway Group has been educating clinicians in emergency airway management since 2006, and this remains the mainstay of the 2016 conference. The focus will be on the different options to manage a difficult airway, and promoting debate amongst specialties. The “Can’t Intubate, Can’t Oxygenate” workshops for ANZCA CPD points are well worth it for any clinician involved in airway management procedures.

Tracheostomy safety will also be a focus, with a dedicated Tracheostomy session delivered by ENT surgeons. The very popular Tracheostomy Emergency workshops will no doubt sell out fast again.

The aim for WAAG 2016 is to bringing clinicians from all critical care areas together with lectures, PBLDs and workshops. Presenters come from Anaesthesia, Emergency Medicine, Intensive Care, Retrieval and Surgery. We have also introduced a Poster Display component to the program. See the Program page for more details on this and to access the WAAG 2016 Draft Program.

The committee is expanding the social program in 2016 to include the inaugural WAAG Golf Competition at the New Kuta Golf Course.

The Kids Club at the hotel is sure to keep the children amused so there will be something for the whole family.

We will also introduce the interactive WAAG Conference App that delegates can download onto their smart devices prior to the conference.

Join us in Bali for another enjoyable conference
